Richmond
Senior Center

The Richmond Senior Center has been providing community services in a home like environment since opening our doors in 1990.

We have an established history and commitment to serve seniors and disabled adults with the most social and economic need. Under the leadership of Golden Gate Senior Services and with funding from Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) it is our priority to provide safe spaces for seniors and adults with disabilities to come together and share a healthy meal, socialize, exercise, learn, and find the resources they need to live happier and healthier lives. Our community services focus on positive aging and are as diverse as our membership. Some join us weekdays for a nutritious hot lunch in a vibrant communal setting. Others use translation assistance or participate in workshops, classes and day trips.

Aging and
Disability Resource Center (ADRC)

Our ADRC is a one-stop-shop connecting older adults and adults with disabilities to important services in the city. Multilingual specialists provide information and referrals to services such as housing, translation, in-home care, home-delivered groceries and LGBTQ programs.

Golden Gate
Village

A free, club-style membership program in which seniors and adults with disabilities help each other thrive in the neighborhoods they know and the homes they love. Moving beyond the Center and into the community, Village members connect and contribute with one another through mutual support and social, cultural and educational activities.

Community Services

Our multicultural center is the hub of activity, learning, support and friendship that helps our members live happy, fulfilled lives. We provide a wealth of activities including art classes, yoga, walking groups, dance and more. We serve a nutritious hot lunch each weekday and provide social and translation support services to seniors and adults with disabilities. Our center welcomes people of all races, abilities and orientations, with staff and volunteers fluent in English, Russian, Cantonese and Mandarin.
